Cadence Allegro Design Entry and Allegro Layout
Cadence Allegro Design tools are industry standard systems for the design of PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards). The Cadence Allegro PCB Design platform enables users to take a PCB design from Schematic capture through to a completed PCB layout. The Cadence layout flow consists of either Cadence Concept HDL or Cadence Capture for front end schematic capture, and Allegro for PCB design. Tight, seamless integration between all aspects of the Cadence layout tools ensures design constraints, values and properties are transferred between all of the Cadence layout system components. However, the Cadence layout tools may be used in isolation: most netlist formats may be generated from the schematic capture tools and likewise the PCB layout tools will accept netlists generated from most non-Cadence schematic capture tools.
Allegro Design Entry
Schematic entry via Allegro Design Entry (OrCAD) is an industry standard schematic capture system. Simple operation but with powerful edit and library management systems coupled with full integration with Allegro PCB layout makes this our capture tool of choice. Allegro Design Entry can also be used in conjunction with the CIS (Component Information System), a powerful tool to allow a full database based parts management system. Most netlist formats can be generated from the Allegro Design Entry tool if required.
